Ironman Australia, QLD AUS

2nd place at Ironman Australia. It was a really emotional finish line experience for me, as I was convinced for a majority of the run that I just wouldn’t make it. The reality is that 6 hours of my race felt sensational, and the remaining 2 was maybe the deepest I’ve ever had go. More on that later, but it’s just truly amazing what we can push ourselves through with the support of all those out there on course. That was an incredible experience, so a big thank you to anyone who dropped a cheer or a clap my way on course 🙌🏼 I particularly love spotting familiar faces. As much as I want to, I just can’t bring myself to walk and put you through my bullshit excuses as I pass! So you all kept me accountable 👍🏼 I also feel like the athletes as well as Port Macquarie community were hungry for the race to finally be back, and the 35th @ironmanoceania #IMAUS was nothing short of thrilling to be part of.

A big congratulations to @timberkel on a deserving win, & @jacktmoody for a breakout podium, as well as @timbo_reed & @ben__phillips1, who kept me motivated and honest all race. Onya men!

Until the next one, thanks everyone for the support 👍🏼
